eleven months, boone.

E L E V E N months.
i sound like a broken record....what in the world?!!!
time has flown, yet i don't remember life without you, boone.

you fill us with so much joy. DEFINITELY keep us on our toes, and constantly laughing.

Today, you colored on the wall with chalk, ate chalk, stood on top of your kids table, fell off the step stool in the bathroom, ate 3x the amount of pork than oak, danced the cutest dance(stomping and clapping and shaking one hand), climbed on the fireplace hearth and proceeded to crawl down it, battled with me on standing in a chair(i think i won), and brought me the night light from oaks room...just to name a few. :)

you are B R A V E, h i l a r i o u s, f e a r l e s s, O P I N I O N A T E D, HEAVY, fun, sweet,
D E T E R M I N E D and expressive.

You are practically jogging.  not really. but really.
you have 5 teeth and at least 3 on the way.
you weigh a lot.
you know what you want and want it now.
you wear up to a 3t.
you have said, maa maa, daa daa, ooooooo, hiii, byeee.

Bluebonnets, Spring 2013

We met grandma and pa in Corsicana for dinner and found some bluebonnets...

10 months, Boone.

Sweet baby boy. You are 10 months old!
AND. you are WALKING.  You just slowly over the past month took more and more steps. and we can officially say you are a walker. at 9 months. no big deal.  you proved us wrong, big time.  we joked because you are so fat, you wouldn't walk until 18 months.
how many more times will you prove us wrong? i think i shall get real comfortable here. ;)

You still know where every electrical cord is.  And the toilets. sick. you love the toilets.  your sweet brother tries so hard to make sure the lids are closed so you dont stick your hands in the toilet.  he takes SUCH good care of you.

I love this next picture.  I love your hands and your feet and every roll on that leg. oh man, i think i might go scoop you up out of your bed right now.  :)

Speaking of bed, you are doing SO MUCH BETTER sleeping.  Right now, you sleep in the pack in play in the guest room.  We have tried putting you in the crib in your room with Oak a couple times but yall didnt like it too much.  That day will come though...

I love you Boonedock.  So so thankful you are mine.

Boone, 9 months.

Boone, I did it again. Im late.
You are almost 11 months old, and here i am writing your 9 month blog. Get it together, Laura!

Nevertheless, I LOVE YOU.

There is no where you think you cannot go, and nothing you think you cannot do.  This includes fitting through small spaces, and climbing to the top of high places.  You are fearless.  And I like it.  I think I will be learning a lot from you . :)

You are getting a lot of hair.  You have a lot more hair than oak did at this age.

And the BEST expressions.

Your dad and I don't know what to do with you sometimes.  When we discipline you, you often smile at us, and then we smile, BECAUSE WE CAN'T HELP IT.  We find ourselves cheering for the other, "greg, dont smile, dont do it... laura, hold it together, etc...", and then we usually loose it. :)
You are a HAM. And you bring us so much JOY.

Have I talked about your teething necklace?  It's not a fashion statement. Nope.
It's a baltic amber teething necklace.  Its supposed to have some natural minerals that have shown to help with the swelling of gums while teething.  I don't know if its working, but why not try it?

ANYDAY you will take off walking.  I just know it.  You are SO close.

I love you Boone Gregory.  This was the worst post ever, but im thankful for pictures. And for you.  And the reminder from friends that im not striving for perfection. amen. goodbye.

8 months, boone.

 boone dock,

8 months!!!!! holy moly.  I LOVE YOU.

you are hilarious.  You have this incredibly funny way of, well, being hilarious.  You are into EVERYTHING.  you LOVE outlets and electrical cords.  You put anything in your mouth.
I remember thinking outlet covers were silly when oak was little.  But you? You are trying to take them off!

You have eaten a lot more new things recently:  black beans, butternut squash, pear, blueberries, grapes.  I think avocado is still your favorite.

you have TWO bottom teeth.
you have an amazing laugh and are very ticklish, especially on your side.
you went to the beach for the first time...you loved it.  we think you would have crawled right into the ocean if we let you.  you love the water.

you are pulling up everywhere and on everything, including the toilet. gross.  you are one curious little guy full of adventure and totally fearless.
I think you could take a step any day.  you stand up and squat back down all on your own.

You LOVE your brother.  You love to watch him play and run and you like when he "wrestles" with you.  I have to remind him you are smaller and to be careful...but you don't ever mind, you smile the whole time.

I love you Boone.  So proud and honored to be your mama.

7 months, boone.

 Boone Dock,
ohhhhh im so so behind.  lets see if i can recall what you were doing 2 months ago... :/

You officially took off in the crawling world.  all over the place.
You cut your first tooth. and it looks good on you.
You flew in a plane for the first time.  ( to USconference in Salt Lake City, Utah)

You wear SIZE 5 diapers. FIVE. One morning when I was picking you up from the church nursery, the sweet girl said, "I changed his diaper and it is a little small."
I was thinking "oh thats ok, it can't be THAT small."
Well, a little bit later, Pa was holding you and TT came a runnin.
When I went to change your diaper....WOW. pretty sure there was a newborn, maybe size 1, diaper on you.  IT LOOKED LIKE A THONG. barely covered anything.  it was hilarious.

You are eating mostly avocado, banana, and applesauce.  I think avocado is your favorite.  You are getting better and better at eating...I need to introduce more foods!

Your little personality is growing and growing.  you are hilarious.  you make the same expressions with your eyebrows and mouth as your daddy.  Most consistently, people(the most random range of people) say you look like Pa.  People that know him well and have never met him say you look like him.  Maybe so?  I dont know.

I told you "no" for the first time.  You smiled at me.  (oak cried when I looked at him sternly)  We shall see where this goes... :)

I love you Boone Gregory.  So proud to be your mom.

Sure, Sure, Sure.

Oak,
I haven't given an update on you in a LONG time.  I'm sorry.  I'll try to do better. :/
You are now a little over 2 1/2 years.  WOW.  You are one incredible, wonderful, strong, sensitive, hilarious, helpful, fun, teachable, and sweet boy.  I LOVE watching you.

I feel like the last 6 months you have come out of your shell.  You definitely still prefer to take things in, step back and watch, before you jump into anything.  But you are "jumping" 99.9% of the time!  You are doing things you NEVER would have done a year ago, and we are SO proud of you.

Your imagination continues to grow more and more each day, but lately it has jumped great heights.  Whether you are "playing football in the stadium with your jersey and basketball shorts and tennis shoes, " or playing with your matchbox cars, your little world is huge and so fun to be a part of.

One of my favorite Oak sayings right now is "sure, sure, sure."  Just your response instead of an "ok," or "yes."  "Sure, sure, sure."  You are hilarious.  You love to help. To have a job.  You are very matter of fact, and act like you are 35 sometimes.  You love to be part of whatever we are doing.

I'd say your biggest loves right now are jerseys and basketball shorts, matching any and everything, cars and monster trucks.  You would play Eradicator vs. Pa's truck with your dad all day long if you could. Watching yall play in your own little world is so incredibly fun.

I love you, Oak Jackson.  I'm so proud of you.  You have been planted to display His splendor.
