The Saturday morning before Easter, we started a new tradition that I hope we always do. We did the kids Easter baskets on Saturday morning because, a.) it gives more focus on Sunday morning about TRUE Easter and what Jesus did for us, b.) it gives us more time to relax Sunday morning and just enjoy, instead of rushing through silly gifts.
Soooo, after Oak and Caro's morning truck drive with Pa and Grandma, they came back to these gifts in the middle of the field. It was a hit! They immediately ran out to see what they were. We opened their baskets and had a cinnamon roll/bacon picnic. A great morning!
Later that day, we went to an egg hunt at the Van Zandt County Fair. Afterwards, we rode rides and watched a cow show.
It was an amazing day before Easter in Martins Mill!
