Boone, 4 months.

(Please excuse the disorganization of this post and pretend that the pictures are where they are supposed to be, under the correct description.  I'm done trying to make this work. :) )

You LOVE this toy.  You often fall asleep with it in your mouth like this:

We celebrated you being 4 months old in Tulsa this past weekend.  We were there for Carolines 3rd birthday and got to spend a few extra days with the Dales and grandma.

boone, you are STILL big. :)

and STILL so happy.

you smile constantly and your joy is so contagious.

I LOVE YOU. HUGE.

You weigh around 19lbs. and i have NO IDEA what size you wear.  most things don't fit.  they don't make onesies in 2T. :)  Just kidding.  but seriously, we are in 18-24 months for sure.

do they make a BIG and TALL store for babies?!

I think I can say you are sleeping through the night.  Sometimes you wake up in the 4-5am range.  But hey, it doesnt bother me. :)

You have had several firsts this month:

You went to your first (and last) bachelorette party.  Kelby's bachelorette party was in Dallas and Grandma and Pa SOOOO KINDLY came into Dallas and got you after the shower part of the celebration.  Then brought you back to me to nurse.  Then took you home.  All while taking care of Oak and Caro too.  They are amazing.

BUT I think the girls liked you.

You took your first sink bath (with Preslee!).

You swung for the first time at Caro's house.  (oak swung for the 1st time in tulsa too!)  You loved it.

You are blowing raspberries like crazy.  You love to mimic us.  If we blow our lips,  you do too. If we make a high pitched noise, so do you.  You really are the cutest thing in the whole world.

Boone, 3 months.

I LOVE YOU.
You are the sweetest baby in all the lands.

Your smile continually melts my heart and makes me feel like i hung the moon. (but i didn't.)

You are rolling over more and enjoying your play mat too!  You have started reaching and grabbing for the things hanging from your play mat.
You still LOVE your dog rattle. (still need to name that guy.)

You have taken the paci a few more times this month...still not in love with it, but i won't give up hope! :)
You are sleeping about the same...feeding a couple times during the night...i think.:)
You are now sleeping, well starting the night off, in your bassinet and daddy is back in the bed with us.

You are STRONG!  you hold your head up like a champ and push up so well on your tummy.  You sit in the bumbo, now, and feel like such a big boy.

You are wearing 6-12 months mostly.

You are amazing, Boone Gregory.  I am loving watching you grow and change and discover new things (so does oak).

Oaks first haircut.

I was determined to not cut his hair for a LONG time.  like shoulder length long.  i wasn't 100% i wanted to cut it, but i went for it.  and looking back at these pictures, convinces me, again, it was time.  

March 2013.

Oak Jackson.

2 1/2 years old.

I continued cutting it for 3 days and it looks better and better all the time.  I think it's even thickened up a bit!  Now, back to plan one: shoulder length. 

boone, 2 months.

 You are two months BIG!  i told your daddy that i fell in love with you this month.  Not that I didn't love you before, because I did. but i totally FELL in love with you this month.  make sense?

You melt me. and your dad.  All we have to do is make eye contact with you and you smile and coo the biggest best face in the world.  And then we melt.  Plus, you have the sweetest (still leaning towards blue/green) eyes. So many times I will look glance at you in the midst of whatever I am doing and you are just looking at me smiling like I'm the greatest thing you have  ever seen.  Thanks, dude. Please don't ever stop. :)

You love your brother.  And he loves that you love him.
Goodness, you just make everyone feel loved.

I think you still look like oak but i can definitely see you looking more like your dad.  sounds pretty good to me! after all, he is the cutest guy i've seen in my entire life.

You still feed every 3ish hours.  My milk is still explosive in your face, but now I can sometimes get away without having a towel to catch the excess. Too much info? nope.
You sleep like a champ.  You usually start to squirm and feed around 3-4am and again around 6ish.

We havent gone to your 2 month appointment yet, but when we do, i'll update this post on your weight,etc.  I'm sure youve gained a pretty penny.
You wear 6-12 month clothes and are in size 2 diapers, although i'm sure you are supposed to be in 3's. :/

You rolled over this month!!!! once. but you still rolled over!  I layed you on your tummy, and when I came back you were on your back! yea! go boone!
You still havent fallen in love with the paci, though I am praying you do very soon.
You love your swing most of the time and have taken a liking to the little dog rattle grandma got you that alissa made.

You are precious, boone.  I'm so excited about you, your life, and being your mom.

one month, boone.

So much has happened in the past two months...the biggest being the birth of Boone Gregory.  (post on his birth coming soon. i hope. :) )
But for TODAY, we celebrate Boone's first month of life!

Boone...
You are BIG. in every way.  well, except your head...its more normalish.
At your last appointment you were over 99% in weight and 80% something in height.
You have NEVER lost any weight...not even your birth weight.  So, youre entire life you have only gained weight. WOW.
I think right now you weigh 12 something lbs.  Last time we went in you were 12lbs.8oz.
You have incredible rolls. all. over.
Your eyes still look blue/grayish...but more blue.
Your belly button is still healing:(.  We are hoping it is just talking longer than normal.

You have been a super content baby.

Although, this past week you got RSV and that has not been fun.  You are really congested and you hate the nose suckers.  Yes, there are three to be exact.  Battery operated one, nose frida and the traditional bulb.  You hate them, for good reason.  It is really sad to watch you fight them.
While we were in Oklahoma last weekend, your daddy got the flu and i was worried about you.
After we got home, I took you in to the Dr. and they tested you for the flu and RSV, in which you showed positive for RSV.  I 'm thankful you havent had fever, your oxygen levels have been good, and you have continued to eat...but i'm soooo ready for you to not be congested.

In your one month of life you have been to Grandma and Pa's house in Martins mill (@2 weeks), to Oklahoma to see family(@3 weeks), the zoo, the museum, the airport, Target, Ft. Worth(for circumcision), Chuy's(twice! :)), and the Cheesecake Factory.  (I'm sure i've missed some)

This past week you have been really fussy in the afternoon/evening.  I hope it is your congestion and that it goes away fast!

You love to be held. and prefer the football hold, where you face out, right now.
You sleep AMAZING at night.  You sleep in the bed with me and when you want to feed you just kinda make some grunting noises, I roll over, let you nurse, and we both fall back to sleep.  It's real real nice. :)

Oak loves you more everyday.  He wants to hold you and lets me know if you are crying.  He has helped me give you a bath and loves to pat you (a little too hard) on your tummy.

We love you Boone! We are so thankful you are here and for your life!  We are so blessed to watch you grow!
